For connecting one computer wireless to a wired network, the computer needs a Wireless PCI, PCMCIA or USB device. An Access Point needs to be connected to the hub or witch from the wired network. One access point support 15 to 50 clients. Client and access point
For connecting two seperate wired networks, a bridge need to be installed on each network. Wireless
Access Point: The Access Point Connects wireless devices to a wired
network. Long-range
network links
For
links up to 3500meter, a speed of 11Mbps is available. For longer
links, the speed can fallback to 5.5 Mbps.
Operating
systems and protocols All different kinds of network protocols can be used. The Wireless cards also supports Linux.
